In practice, organizations may adopt a hybrid approach, combining elements of Waterfall and Agile methodologies based on project requirements and organizational culture. The choice between Waterfall and Agile often depends on factors such as project complexity, size, and the level of error required.

M. Athar Januar, PMP, PMI-ACP, PSM IM PSM II, is an agile coach and project management consultant. He has studied computer science with a Master of Science degree at the university of Karlsruhe, Germany (2001-2008). Athar holds certification of Project Management Professional since 2010 and PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMO-PCP) since 2022. Athar has professional experience as an agile coach and project manager for many clients, from BUMN, oil & gas, telecommunication, government, financial services, to manufacturing. He is also a founder of agilenesia community consisting of agile practitioners and enthusiasts and agilenesi TV in Youtube.
