Coaching, counseling & mentoring are part of a leader's duties as a human developer. A good manager or leader is not only "getting the job done" or task oriented, but must also have a mindset as a human developer. Helping employees to be able to complete their tasks optimally while helping the person personally to be able to achieve "best self" or be the best of themselves is currently believed to be the true achievement of a leader.
Coaching, counseling & mentoring skills need to be possessed by every superior or every individual who wants to help develop Human Resources in the organization, so that they are able to empower, motivate and invite cooperation from their subordinates to achieve common goals. Coaching is carried out by the Coach (the person doing the coaching) by asking a series of questions with the aim of the coachee (the person being coached) finding answers from within themselves. In coaching, the coach does not provide solutions for the coach, but rather guides them to find solutions through digging from within themselves. Counseling is a supportive process in which a superior helps his subordinates to solve their personal problems that affect their performance.
Meanwhile, mentoring needs to be done by superiors to systematically help employees to be able to do their jobs well and correctly, including by demonstrating, explaining and giving examples.
In this program, participants will learn conversation and questioning techniques that can help bring out the best potential of a person. With a positive and constructive dialogue or conversation process, it will help others solve problems and also encourage them to have the ability to ask themselves so that they can develop independently. The conversation session is open, interaction encourages a collaborative atmosphere to achieve goals, improve performance and encourage subordinates to advance. Benefits will be felt after the coaching, counseling & mentoring session ends.
With the role play method among fellow Program participants, participants will also feel the benefits of this technique for their own personal development.
After participating in this program, participants are expected to understand and be able to apply Coaching, Counseling & Mentoring appropriately to help develop human resources in companies or organizations.
