The success of a business is always determined by good managerial processes. For creative workers, good time management will provide crucial benefits for turning ideas into effective work results. A healthy organizational culture is also crucial for having a positive impact on daily work routines.

Not limited to creative workers, you may be a morning person who can stop working at bedtime. On the other hand, maybe you have to stay up late to come up with an idea. However, remember that creativity doesn't just appear when you're under pressure. For this reason, here is time management that creative workers can do.

1.   Create a routine

For some people, this may not be a pleasant thing. However, try to create a simple routine for a short period of time. Try not to be distracted by the sound of incoming messages and set aside time in your routine if you want to reply. That way, other main jobs can be done well.

2.   Make a to-do list

When lots of deadlines pile up with various interests from different stakeholders, try to write them down. Make a to-do list so you can set time to prioritize. If a sudden task comes in, you can also immediately set an estimated time to complete it.

3.   Solve in stages

Not everything that has been recorded on the to-do list must be completed. You can complete them one by one. Completing one task to completion is better than leaving two tasks half done. That way, you can switch to focus on another task without having to think back and forth to a task you're only halfway through.

4.   Avoid working in bed

Working with a laptop is very practical. You can take your laptop anywhere, including to bed. However, it is better to avoid this in order to maintain the atmosphere of the rest area according to its function. A comfortable mattress doesn't necessarily make you more creative.

5.   Always be ready with ideas

Save all your inspiration and ideas and take them wherever you go. It can be written in a notebook, saved in a smartphone notepad, or saved in cloud storage. Make sure you can open the notes or inspiration anytime and anywhere. That way, it will be easier for you to plan your tasks and routine for the next day.

6.   Try to be alone

Distractions can come from anywhere. You might be looking to focus, but someone comes in asking for help revising one small mistake. This may not take up much time, but distractions can make someone lose focus.

If you need a lot of time to refocus, try to be alone. Not only do you get away from your work desk with lots of people, you might take 1-2 hours to turn off notifications on your smartphone or laptop. That way, you can really focus and not waste time.

7.   Avoid panic

Don't beat yourself up if there are tasks that haven't been completed. Not everything has to go according to plan and things can happen for a reason. You may have often done sudden tasks that turned out to take longer to complete. Don't panic, communicate that you are not postponing tasks, but setting priorities because there are other priorities that are more urgent.

As a creative worker, you still have to be able to manage time effectively. The role of the creative team in a business may be to act as support. However, it is important to maintain a timely timeline to create the right strategy for your business or company. So, some of the methods above can be used so that creative workers can still create ideas freely and on time.
